Amy kindly offered to have my girls for the afternoon. She lives in the beautiful city of Delft. Parallel parking alongside the canal sans barriers freaks me out just ever so slightly.

Dad has been home for two whole weeks to play all day. We've had such fun and are sad to send him off to work this morning. We love and miss him.

Windsurfing isn't as easy as it looks, but it sure is fun! We spent a really great afternoon with the Sterri's at a nearby lake. This is definitely something we'd like to do more often.

Tom and Amy offered to watch our girls tonight so Bryn and I could go on a date. It's been ages since we've been able to do this. We went to the movies in Schevenigen to watch "The Proposal". We really enjoyed it. We spent the rest of the evening enjoying chicken sate and good conversation with the DeNucci's.

The mosquitos love Madison, but unfortunately her little body reacts so badly once bitten. She found it quite amusing that her eyes were smaller for a couple of days.

Bryn took the big girls with him to visit a South African friend this evening. They enjoyed a sundown a canoe ride.

We got to enjoy these little sweeties today. Bryn took Madison and Lucas golfing and Savannah and Hailey and I baked cookies. What a fun day!

Our friends, the DeNucci's, can sure cook up a prawn storm. We've been craving them ever since we tasted Tom's prawn dish. Today seemed like the perfect day to head out to the Delft market to pick up some fresh prawns for a Saturday dinner. Bryn prepared a delicious meal.

Wednesday's beach day was so much fun, Amy, Angie and I decided to repeat it today. Only this time, we visited a dam with a small beach and large grass area. We visited the Delft market beforehand and picked up some delicious Greek gyros for lunch.

For a few minutes, I was convinced this was Volkswagen's latest Golf model. I took a bet with Bryn for a 20 minute back massage--that's how sure I was! He took a picture of the car, so we could verify the loser on the internet at home. Grrr. Guess who lost?

Savannah has begged me for ages to take her to a bike shop to pick out her dream Dutch bike. She's working very hard to achieve her reading goal. When she reaches reading level 8, she'll be able to ride that bike home.
