Sophie with Miffy-- * 24 weeks * 6630g * got up onto all fours and pushed herself forward. Gaining speed at a fast rate! * started rice cereal. Doesn't enjoy it from a spoon, but will tolerate it from a bottle
A new Harries favourite. Greek Gyros. * spread yoghurt, fresh dill, salt and pepper mix onto a soft tortilla * top with warm chicken pieces, feta cheese, baby tomatoes, black olives, avo cubes and peeled and deseeded cucumber wedges. * fold up and enjoy!
I have purposefully not replaced the light bulb in the girls' room. The passage light provides enough light for stories and getting ready for bed in the evenings. Tonight, when I went to check on Madison before I retired for the night, I was impressed with her book-by-flashlight-secured-into-the-top-bunkbed improvisation.
Sophie with Miffy-- * 23 weeks * said 'ma ma ma' * got up onto all fours and pushed herself along to grab the nearest toy * so aware of everything going on around her * woke mommy up at 3am twice this week. Time for solids! * loves to tag along in the bjorn pouch while mom does the grocery shopping * grabs everything
How many bodies can we pile into a Renault Clio? 3 adults and 3 children :) We're sad to be selling our Clown Car this week. It's been a great zippy run around car.
Sophie with Miffy-- *22 weeks *textbook baby. eats every 3-4 hours, plays for a bit afterwards and then naps twice a day *I will wean her onto solids some time this month *we all enjoy her so much
Savannah and Madison have made friends with a sweet little girl, Anna. Her grandparents take care of her a couple of afternoons a week, so the girls always get together when she's around.
Madison kept herself entertained while I was having my legs waxed. She loves taking pictures and I often find these random shots when I download the pictures onto the computer.
Sophie and no Miffy. How could I have somehow forgotten to snap the ever so popular Sophie with Miffy photo! Oh well, this will have to do.
Sophie at 21 weeks-- * she can leopard crawl! * no more sleep time swaddles * bottle fed with one early morning breast feed * sleeps from 8pm - 7am * cries when strangers make a fuss of her or hold her
We're an active family of 5, aclimitizing to life back in beautiful South Africa. We live in Cape Town now, after having spent 10 years in the land of windmills, cheese, flowers and cows aka The Netherlands. We enjoy entertaining friends, exercise, sunshine, jiving to music in the kitchen and heading to the beach for walks and ice-creams. We love life and embrace each new day we're blessed with. We're happy. And I write all about it. Welcome!
